If you believe you are too busy to write email and text messages that are clear and grammatically correct, and thereby professionally appealing, think again. Despite a grueling schedule during the campaign, President-Elect Obama still managed it.

According to the New York Times, despite the fact that “His BlackBerry was constantly crackling with e-mails,” Obama’s outgoing messages “are generally crisp, properly spelled and free of symbols or emoticons.”

So, if you want to emulate a highly skilled communicator, be like Obama and keep your electronic communication top notch.

I definetly agree that no matter who your sending a message to your text, punctucation and context should be proofread before submission. I proofread and spell check every email and reply email I send out; at home and at work. I am actually embarrased if my email is not professional and well written. I don’t want someone like the president of Philips to read an email I produced that is anything but perfect.
